1Traveling time
Please familiarize yourself with the directions and travel times to the stables. Cape Town traffic can be heavy at times, so we recommend allowing extra time for travel. We want to ensure that you arrive at the stables in a timely and stress-free manner so that you can fully enjoy your horse riding experience. Please allow ample traveling time to allow for prompt arrival. To estimate travel time please use either Google Maps or Waze to get traveling time!
2Arrival time
Please arrive exactly 30 minutes before your scheduled departure time. Late arrivals will not be accommodated. Upon arrival, you'll need to sign indemnity forms, saddle up, and prepare for an epic ride. We depart as a scheduled group. No refunds or rescheduling of trips will be granted for no-shows or late arrivals.
3What to wear
PLEASE NOTE: Please ensure that you wear appropriate clothing as stipulated, as failure to do so may result in the forfeiture of your ride at most stables. Long pants, not too tight / denims/ trousers. No dresses, shorts or bikinis or swimwear! Friction from bare legs and the saddle moving from the horse's natural motion leaves the rider with uncomfortable pinches down the legs. Sturdy closed shoes or boots. No sandals. Flip flops. Great for vacations, for horseback riding…not so much. Flip flops is a safety hazard when riding. Sunglasses and please don’t forget the sunblock in summer! Please pack a raincoat / jacket / windbreaker, the Cape weather is unpredictable.
4Weather
If the weather changes to the extent that your booked ride cannot proceed, one of our team members will contact you to reschedule.
5Photos
You may bring a cellphone to take pictures, please ensure that your phone is save at all times, we do not take any responsibility for loss or damage of cellphones. DSLR Cameras are not allowed. The ride will not stop for photos; however, if you feel comfortable taking pictures while on horseback with your cellphone, you may do so. Please note that this is not a photoshoot opportunity. This is a scheduled group departure, and photoshoots are not permitted during the ride. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

  • Just did a morning ride on the beach and it was definitely my favorite thing I’ve done in my month of being in Cape Town. The horses are well behaved and know the trail extremely well, so you don’t really have to do anything but sit back and take in the incredible view. And it is an insane view!
